Why Kafundo

Supports 600–650 girls from under-resourced communities facing significant socioeconomic challenges. Despite barriers, students show remarkable resilience, passion, and self-motivation in their pursuit of education.

The Challenge

Limited access to menstrual health education and sanitation knowledge continues to impact girls' education, leading to absenteeism or school dropouts. Stigma and lack of basic information remain major obstacles to educational equity for young women.

Why Sintanaizer

Home to approximately 35 children (ages 3-16) from extremely difficult backgrounds across Dar es Salaam. Many have experienced abuse and significant trauma. The foundation provides shelter and care, offering a safe environment where children can heal, learn, and grow, prioritizing education and emotional well-being.

The Challenge

Rent shortages threaten the stability of children's living environment. Lack of essential school materials—textbooks, uniforms, and exercise books—directly affects their ability to attend school consistently and succeed academically.
